It is with great sorrow we tell you that on the 17th of February 2014 Mayer bid farewell to us.

In the wettest of weather
On the darkest coldest morn
There you stood together
Awaiting breakfast to be borne
Alas Mayer change soon was to come to thee
As of late your tired body we could see was bearing pain
Time was growing short and your soul was to be set free
As life allows no mortal body to forever remain
To us and this world you must now entrust your son
We shall endeavour to teach him as you would
No doubt he will be the one
Telling his friends of his mother oh so good
